Money-Rates.com just released a study that analyzed the effects of state taxes, the unemployment rate, average wages, and the states cost of living and compared all 50 of the United States. The numbers are pretty rough for Hawaii. They are the worst state by over $7,000 in average money left over to live on while having the highest commodity prices.
