Investors in property in Brazil have been given the good news that preparations for the 2014 Fifa World Cup are on track.

Officials in Natal, one of the locations which will be hosting matches during the tournament, said they hope to begin working on the city’s stadium next month, Reuters reported. A single bid for construction of the venue has been received.

The state government Rio Grande do Norte told the news provider: “The documents of the only participants will be analysed immediately. The analysis should be concluded by April 15th.”

Matches will be held at 12 cities across Brazil during the world cup and all stadiums in the host locations have now been confirmed, local organising committee chairman Ricardo Teixeira said, following the first meeting of the committee and Fifa officials.

“We can [now] focus on the operational aspects of the tournament preparations with special attention to our first major event on Brazilian soil – the preliminary draw in less than four months,” he added.

Samantha Gore, sales manager for Natal-based uv10.com, previously told those interested in buying property in Brazil that the tournament will give the rest of the world a chance to see how much the country has progressed in recent years.
