Investors in Brazilian property that are interested in volunteering during their time abroad should choose their destination based on what type of work interests them, an expert has advised.
STA Travel said that there are some destinations that will always need volunteers and therefore offer some unique opportunities for travellers who want to contribute to the global community.
John Constable, managing director at the company, said: “People are more socially aware than ever.”
He added: “Places such as Rio de Janeiro and Cuzco in South America are always in need of volunteers on projects to help local children with educational assistance.”
Earlier this week, STA Travel said that it expects the number of people opting to undertake ‘voluntours’ this year to climb, as it allows for a different type of getaway and a unique opportunity to see a nation from a different perspective.
